Dr. Sarita Vinod Dasari (AB Nephrology) is a distinguished nephrologist, healthcare innovator, and visionary leader based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. As a graduate of Karnatak Medical College, Hubli (1991), she went on to specialize in Internal Medicine at Aultman Hospital, Canton, Ohio (1996), and later completed her super-specialization in Nephrology at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Ohio (2002).
With over two decades of experience as a consultant nephrologist, Dr. Sarita has dedicated her career to advancing kidney care in India. Recognizing the critical need for preventive nephrology across all sections of society, she established Vijay Ganga Specialty Care (VGSC) in 2012. This center, focused on patient education and quality kidney care, introduced innovative outreach programs, including health talks under the “Doctor Public Society (DPS) - How Not to Go to a Doctor Series” and affordable health checks in public spaces like parks and beaches.

Driven by her commitment to providing comprehensive kidney care, Dr. Sarita expanded her efforts by launching Vinita Hospital in 2021. Under her leadership, the hospital has rapidly gained recognition as a premier facility for end-to-end kidney care, from prevention to transplantation. Initially a center of excellence for nephrology and urology, Vinita Hospital has evolved into a multi-specialty institution equipped with 50 beds, cutting-edge operating theatres, state-of-the-art imaging and lab facilities, and a fully automated pharmacy system that enhances drug delivery efficiency. The hospital’s innovative in-house software ensures seamless management and real-time updates for every patient.
Dr. Sarita’s vision extends beyond clinical excellence. She is passionate about fostering preventive healthcare practices, involving patients in their care journey, and promoting health awareness in the community. Her contributions to healthcare have been recognized with several prestigious accolades, including the Seva Ratna Award (2016) from Exnora International and the Mahila Ratna Award (2018) from Kalasudha Association.
